Childhood

Tun dr Mahathir had experienced quite a lot of new things and hardship during his childhood and this is in contrast with teenagers nowadays as we had been pampered with modern life and some of the youth do not know how to live independently. As Tun dr Mahathir, he sold pisang goring (banana Fritters) and other snacks to support his family income during the Japanese occupation of Malaya.

Besides that, Tun dr Mahathir and his family stayed in a house with “Nipah” roof that been purchased by his own father, Mohamad bin iskandar. The house they stayed was not painted and had only one room with a verandah at the front side but had no stairs. Despite of that, they still live in moderate and happy life with the surrounding among his family members.
